Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percent increase over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record-breaking numbers for 2019". "The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries each month. נווה פריצקי We're thrilled to witness an improvement in the trend and we anticipate an upswing for the many months and years to follow."
Canada is home to 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 in August is not far from the United States.
Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) stated that "it is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is growing." We are close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home abroad.
Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May has seen more than 600,000.
