Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of visitors from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States were in Israel during August 2022.

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism declared that "it's so exciting to witness how tourism in Canada is recovering." "We are not far from our record 2019 and we expect that the growth in travels to Israel will continue to grow because Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."
In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since its official reopening to everyone regardless of their the status of their vaccination in May of this year, the country has already witnessed more than 600,400 US visitors.
