Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry Numbers From the United States

NEW YORK - September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% growth over 2019.

"It is so exciting to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. Not far behind the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel with 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
